One of out nationwide Charity Events was in an effort to raise funds to help those who suffered in the Tsunami Disaster, funds were sent via the Red Cross to the tsunami victims after the Benefit held at The Smoky Mermaid.
“The most powerful earthquake in 40 years ruptured the sea floor off Sumatra, displacing billions of tons of water and sending 33-foot-high walls of water roared across the Indian Ocean. At least 216,000 people died or disappeared and the true toll of the tsunami will probably never be known. Many bodies were lost at sea and population data in some places was destroyed.”(NBC NEWS ARCHIVES)
Although we are aware that efforts were made worldwide in aiding these unfortunate people we believe that every little bit helped and would like to thank all those who supported and collaberated on the event
